The dynamic business process is a process that is always changing and will not be the same in every situation. The dynamic process is ever changing and evolving, it must change to accommodate the current economic times and needs. Marketing is one of the prime examples of a dynamic business process. Marketing is always changing and needs to change in order to be successful and provide results. Companies such as SHI Technologies have to constantly update their marketing strategy to attract new clients as well as retain their current clients. Marketing is how they advertise all the advantages clients can expect from doing business with them. It is spreading the word and acknowledging that they can provide new clients with the specific needs they require. As technology evolves so does the way businesses approach marketing. Besides holding conferences and participating in expos the main focus of businesses today is to create a social media presence to rapidly spread the word about their products and services.
SMIS
A Social Media Information System (SMIS) is an IS that supports content-sharing among networks of users such as Facebook or Instagram. Like any other Information System, SMIS includes hardware, software, data, procedures and users. See figure below:
In order to support the Dynamic Process, SHI uses different social media outlets such as Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube to create awareness of their latest products and IT solutions. SHI posts articles, webinars and podcasts to advertise their ongoing campaigns on their blog. An important campaign currently running is pushing customers to update to Windows 11 which is also being pushed by Microsoft. This partnership makes the campaign more effective as they are both trying to achieve the same goal and reaching many more customers. See campaign below:
SHI developed a social media plan in order to create an effective SMIS.
First, they use podcasts to inform and educate their viewers as well as spread
awareness on their latest products and IT solutions. They also provide videos,
articles, training, and even conduct webinars. They set up new campaigns and
created a slogan “It Can’t Wait” as a form of metric. This allows them to see
how successful their campaign was with the number of impressions, clicks, and
leads. They use Facebook to promote their company and have ads you can click on
to learn more about their products.
Social Capital refers to a collection of shared values or resources that allow individuals to collaborate with one another in a group setting allowing them to successfully accomplish a shared goal.
And surprise social networking focuses on and allows the use of online networks to create social relations among individuals who share business interests and goals. SLATES is an abbreviation for Search, Links, Authorship, Tags, Extensions, and Signaling. This is used to describe the effective use of Web 2.0 and is meant to show the upgrade from what we once knew. SHI creates campaigns in which they partner with companies such as HP, Lenovo, and Dell, in order to showcase Microsoft's new launch Windows 11. SHI displays these unique features while working to sell devices with Windows 11.
SMIS Policy and Security Concerns

behavior and usage of social media platforms. Their policy often includes

and avoiding the dissemination of false or misleading information about the
organization. the event of inappropriate content or unfavorable reviews, Shi
employs a combination of proactive and reactive measures. They may monitor
social media channels for mentions of the organization, enabling them to
address issues promptly. Reactively, Shi may have established protocols for
handling complaints or negative feedback, which may involve investigating the
issue, responding diplomatically, and taking appropriate actions to mitigate
any reputational damage. For instance, if a negative review is posted on
YouTube regarding a product or service, Shi may respond publicly to address the
concerns raised and offer solutions, showing their commitment to customer
satisfaction and resolving issues transparently.
